The 10th annual McMinnville High School Sports Hall of Fame was held on May 14th, 2016 at Evergreen Air & Space Museum in McMinnville, OR. The documentaries for the class of inductees were produced by Andrew Murga Productions and can be viewed below.
Below is a promo for the event.
Nick Robertson is now a MHS & Oregon Sports Hall of Famer, and the 2nd winningest high school basketball coach in Oregon’s history, but the full impact of his 42 year career has added up to much more than just wins and losses.
Anna Bertrand was one of the greatest pitchers to ever graduate from Mac High! She holds nearly every softball record at MHS and PSU, and is now a Division I coach.
Janet Skinner was a natural all-around athlete, excelling in more sports than most other MHS Hall of Famers, but especially tennis, the sport in which she was a multiple-time State Champion.
Dale Patton was an excellent football, basketball, and baseball player, who won a high percentage of his contests in each sport at the high school and college levels at Willamette University.
The 1953, 1955, 1956 & 1957 MHS Girls’ Tennis Teams won 4 out of 5 State Championships and were a true Oregon dynasty, but women’s sports of the past didn’t always get the recognition they deserved.
The 4-Year 3-Sport MHS Senior Class of 2016 are Elizabeth Logsdon, Jessica Noyes, Katelyn Renshaw, and Micah Steeves. They are a testimony to hard work and dedication, and are role models for their fellow classmates.
Below are some highlights from the Inductees acceptance speeches. Their full unedited speeches can be seen on our YouTube page.
