This was the 8th annual class of inductees for the McMinnville High School Sports Hall of Fame, for which Andrew Murga Productions produced all of the videos.

Karina Elstrom was a pioneer for women’s pole vaulting when she started the event at MHS in 1995.  She achieved a District and State Championship at MHS, before becoming an All-American and US World Team member at the University of Oregon.

Pete Tjaarda was a great three-sport athlete at MHS, who was one of the most dominant pitchers in the history of Oregon high school baseball.  He went on to play at the University of Washington and beyond.

Jim Barks was a beloved MHS graduate, teacher, and Track & Field coach, who went on to have one of the best careers in Oregon public school’s history.

Don Carlson was a three-sport MHS standout and two-sport athlete for Linfield College, before devoting his life to the city of Portland.

Hal Cuffel was a tremendous three-sport athlete at MHS and standout football player for the University of Oregon, but who tragically perished in the prime of his life.
